I was instrumental in advancing Android 14 towards key milestones, reflecting my leadership and expertise in the tech industry in 2022-2024.

My contributions included developing and implementing creative, user-centric solutions for both phone and Wear OS platforms.

For these Google projects, I primarily used Figma for fluent experience,  to create wireframes, high-quality mockups, and prototypes in Figma.

Some of the projects I worked on as a Senior Designer with the Android input team included:

  • GenAI and Smart Reply for Google Watch and Phone.

  • GenAI Smart Picture/Text Scanning for Google Phones and Tablets.

  • Voice Message Integration for Google Watch and Phone.

  • Text Scanning for Google Phones and Tablets.

  • Input Message and Number Discoverability for Google Phones/Tablets and Watch

  • Led the Figma prototyping and GHST Carbon updates, enhancing component usability, accessibility, and responsiveness.

  • Optimized the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) by refining device setup, pairing flows, and onboarding interactions.

  • Collaborated with engineers and product teams to document and publish Material Design 3 updates for scalable design system improvements.

Conclusion

What I learned:

At Google, as a Senior Designer working on AI features for Android products, I played a key role in Google Home’s BC25 update, designing adaptive UI components to ensure a seamless experience across Pixel, Foldable, and tablet devices. I led Figma prototyping and GHST Carbon updates, improving component usability, accessibility, and responsiveness while optimizing the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) by refining device setup, pairing flows, and onboarding interactions.

Through this project, I honed my ability to integrate AI into UX, ensuring AI-driven features enhance usability without adding complexity. I worked closely with engineers, PMs, and researchers, embracing rapid prototyping and iterative design to align AI solutions with user needs. Prioritizing privacy, accessibility, and global inclusivity, I ensured AI-powered features were intuitive, unbiased, and privacy-conscious. Staying ahead of AI advancements, I learned to balance cutting-edge innovation with usability, designing experiences that feel seamless and value-driven rather than overwhelming.
